I got quite a few requests for Eliza’s dress from last night’s premiere of Selfie (click to see where she got it.) And I was wondering what you guys thought of the show. I was surprised to read the reviews of both Selfie and Manhattan Love Story, because while most reviewers found the show cloying and annoying, I thought it was actually pretty funny, complete with some really great one-liners and a pretty accurate perspective on how social-media obsessed we can become.
To misquote Eliza, “a lot of my friends names start with the @ symbol.”
I can’t deny that it’s really important that we all put down the smartphones (especially you, girl in my Tabata class who insists on checking her texts during our 10 second rest.) but some of my dearest friends started out on Twitterverse.
And if it weren’t for the Internet, I wouldn’t get to know all of you.
